Students will create their own short piece and will have the opportunity to be coached and critiqued as they go through the process. This workshop will offer students new ways to look at choreography and creating movement. A perfect opportunity to break out of old habits and be inspired by new possibilites. Local choreographers, Nicholas Cendese and Natosha Washington of RAWMOVES are RDT's guests in this one day choreography workshop for Young Dancers (ages 13-17). Students will have the opportunity to learn how Nick and Natosha were inspired to create movement for their new work, What you leave behind..., and then be able to explore those choreographic techniques themselves as they are led by Nick and Natosha through the compositional process.
